Today we celebrate the Feast of All Saints. It is a day for rejoicing in the power of the Spirit, which has enabled countless men and women to live lives of faithfulness and holiness, united and rejoicing in the power and glory of God. So we pray:
Let us pray for the Church in the Diocese of Westminster. Through the gifts
God gives us may we be drawn together in a close bond of unity.
Lord in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Let us pray for those who have positions of power and authority in our nation and local communities. In all they do, may they seek to work for the good of all people.
Lord in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Let us pray for ourselves, that, inspired by the Gospel, we may seek to grow
in love for our neighbour and ourselves.
Lord in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Let us pray for peace and justice throughout the world. May God's kingdom come.
Lord in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Let us pray for our young families - we all need your strength, your love, and your perseverance. Be with us, Lord, throughout this coming week.
Lord in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Let us pray for all in our parish that are in any kind of need - may the sorrowing be comforted, the down-hearted cheered, the lonely befriended; and we ask healing for all those who are sick.
Lord in your mercy: hear our prayer.
Let us pray for those who have died recently and for those whose anniversaries occur about this time. May the Lord welcome them into his Kingdom.
Lord in your mercy: hear our prayer.
We ask Our Lady to join us in our prayers.
God is the glory and joy of all his saints, whose memory we celebrate today. May his blessings be with us always. Amen.
